DentalMonitoring
Your Treatment. On Your Schedule.
Gone are the days of coming into the office just to hear “looks good, see you in six weeks.” With DentalMonitoring, Dr. Bryan and Dr. Lauren can track your progress between visits using AI-powered scans right from your smartphone.
Here’s how it works: using the DentalMonitoring app and a small cheek retractor, you take quick weekly scans of your teeth at home. Those scans are instantly analyzed by artificial intelligence and reviewed by your doctor — and if everything is on track, your next appointment can be pushed out, saving you a trip. If something needs attention, we catch it early instead of waiting weeks to find out.
What this means for you:
- Fewer office visits without sacrificing results
- Real-time insight into your progress
- Faster course corrections when needed
- More flexibility for busy families and schedules
Whether you’re in braces or Angel Clear Aligners, DentalMonitoring keeps your treatment moving — even when life gets hectic. It’s the kind of tech that makes orthodontics fit your life, not the other way around.
3D Printing
Custom. Precise. Made Right Here.
At Dual Image Orthodontics, we don’t just talk about being high-tech — we bring it in-house. Our in-office 3D printer allows us to fabricate custom orthodontic appliances, retainers, models, and more with a level of precision that traditional methods simply can’t match.
What used to require outside labs and week-long waits can now happen faster, with greater accuracy, and tailored specifically to your anatomy. That means:
- Faster turnaround on retainers and custom appliances
- Better fit from digitally precise, patient-specific models
- Less dependency on outside labs, which means fewer delays in your care
- On-the-spot solutions for certain in-office needs
When your doctors have access to 3D printing on demand, your treatment stays nimble. It’s one more way Drs. Bryan and Lauren Lockhart are investing in tools that deliver better outcomes — and a better experience — for every patient walking through our doors in NoDa and Steele Creek.
Digital Scanners
Say Goodbye to Goopy Impressions.
Nobody misses the old-school trays of putty. With our state-of-the-art intraoral digital scanner, we capture a precise, full-color 3D model of your teeth in just minutes — no goop, no gagging, no guessing.
The digital scan process is fast, comfortable, and incredibly accurate. A small wand-like scanner glides along your teeth and creates a detailed virtual model in real time. You can even watch your smile appear on screen as it’s being captured.
Why it matters:
- More accurate than traditional impressions — which means better-fitting aligners, retainers, and appliances
- Comfortable experience, especially for patients with a sensitive gag reflex
- Instant digital records that can be shared seamlessly with labs and specialists
- The foundation for your LightForce Custom Braces, InSmile Lingual Braces, and Angel Clear Aligner treatment plans
At Dual Image, we use digital scans from day one — your smile journey starts with the clearest picture possible. It’s a small difference in the chair that makes a big difference in your results.
CBCT
See the Whole Picture. Treat the Whole Patient.
Great orthodontic care starts with great information. Our Cone Beam CT (CBCT) imaging gives Drs. Bryan and Lauren Lockhart a complete, 3D view of your teeth, roots, jaws, and surrounding structures — all in a single, low-radiation scan.
Unlike traditional flat X-rays, which only show a 2D snapshot, CBCT imaging reveals what’s happening beneath the surface: the angulation of roots, the position of unerupted teeth, airway considerations, bone levels, and jaw anatomy. This kind of visibility allows our doctors to plan treatment with surgical precision — before a single wire is placed or an aligner is delivered.
CBCT is especially valuable for:
- Complex cases involving impacted or unerupted teeth
- Surgical orthodontics and jaw concerns
- Evaluating root positions to protect long-term dental health
- Identifying airway and skeletal issues that impact your bite
- Treatment planning for LightForce Custom Braces and Angel Clear Aligners
The scan itself takes only seconds, exposes you to a fraction of the radiation of a traditional medical CT scan, and is done right here in our office. No referrals. No extra appointments. Just more information, faster — so we can give you the most thoughtful, precise treatment plan possible.
Because at Dual Image Orthodontics, we believe your smile deserves a doctor who sees the full picture.
